About Me

My photo
Hey everyone! My name is metalmoose and I retexture hair for The Sims 3. I retexture what I feel like playing with, but feel free to send me any suggestions!

Regardless of Warnings, The Future Doesn't Scare Me At All (Peggy SGift Dec '10 Moose'd)

So this morning, I told myself I had to remake my textures, and I haven't left the computer since. I had a certain goal in mind, and that was to evenly distribute my shine placement, and I completely and utterly failed in that category. My shine placement is the same, BUT, my textures are now darker (but not too dark, as you will soon see) which makes my shine pop! It will also give a bit of shine to the EA Control versions, but not too much. I will try to make new textures again, but not for a while, because I can't stand to use that fucking motion blur tool for the time being. I believe that my new textures are much better than my previous textures, but I don't really have any way to compare them, so I guess you'll have to take my word for it, yeah? Yeah.

The title is based on a song by Utada called Simple and Clean (like my textures! [badum tshh]). I realize that it isn't the original version, but I love the remix, and its been stuck in my head on and off since before puberty hit, so there.

So lets get to the previews, shall we? ( I noticed that some people don't really like gifs, because they think that it impedes their ability to judge the quality of my work [because it lowers the quality of the image]. I must admit that it does, but only slightly, and I really like my new system, so if you'd like to see the ungiffed versions of the hair, just click the hair color [e.g. Black, Brown, Red, Blonde, Control] and it will take you to the image.

CATCH PHRASE!
(See how if you look really really close, you can definitely tell that there's a difference between the AS and EAC version of the blonde? Progress, my friends)

Anyway, this is available for all ages, and should not conflict with any other retexes or versions thanks to DABOOBS.

Disclaimer: This very pretty hair was not meshed by me. The original version by Peggatha (not her real name), and can be found in two parts: here and here (Warning, her page is not compatible with Google Chrome).

If you enjoy my work, please click on an advertisement (the flashy things/links that make google give me moneys), visit my facebook page, shoot me a comment, or subscribe to me via the handy doo-dad at the bottom of the page.

When you walk away, you won't hear me say 'please, oh baby, don't go,'
'Moose

P.S.(its aqua, the same color of my images and complimentary to the orange accents on my page, therefore pleasing to the eye): If you find any problems with my files, please let me know, and I will fix them right up lickety split. Do what you want with my files, but no paysites, because they're evil. If you use my files and decide to post them somewhere, give me credit, please. Thank you for coming, have a fantabulous day.

  1. Metalmoose you always do so well on your wonderful textures. And your models are one of the prettiest I've seen! They are all so cute and I love your sense of fashion.

  2. Beautiful work. One question: Where are those beautiful eyelashes in the first picture from?
