Your Cigarette Kisses That Taste So Sweet (ButterflySims 49 Moose'd)

So I know that I promised that I would post this like three days ago, but I realized that I hadn't made made any other levels of detail than LOD0, and I had to make them. Not to imply that it took me three days to make them, but I went on a surf trip with some friends for the past three days, and I made them just now when I got back. By the way, this isn't my 100th creation, its my 100th post. But its special anyway, this is the special thing I was talking about.

I've been working on this thing ever since somewhere around early April, and then I gave up after I realized I couldn't fix the Sims 3 version, gave up, and waited for the Sims 2 version for like a month, and then continued to work on it for a really long time until now, because I'm finally satisfied with this thing.
Remember how the last thing I released had alien head issues as well? This thing has the worst Alien head issue I've ever seen ever. Hands down, the WORST case of Alien head I have ever seen IN MY LIFE. I really like how it turned out, and the difference is almost laughably entertaining (gif below). Long story short, this version is somewhere around 4,000 polygons less than the original, it doesn't have an alien head, is compatible with breast and fat sliders, and has better textures (assuming you think my textures are better than Butterfly's). Oh and I also fixed a little squiggle in the mesh that is very clearly seen in the brown image. Again, as I'm terrible at preventing transparency issues, there are some in this version. I'm sorry, you can see them in the gif below as well, but they're only from the side.
The hairstyle is named after a song by Dirty Vegas called Electric Love, listen to it, its great.

Click to make big(also let me just clarify that my version doesn't mess with your sims' eyes, its just that I was in the middle of switching default replacements as I took these images, and only realized this after I had already prepared all of the images):
Black:

Brown:

Red:

Blonde:

Control:

CATCH PHRASE(The reason that the control image's hair is so giant is because her breasts are at max)!
This hairstyle is 10,048 polygons in LOD0 (which is crazy in comparison to the original's 14,280 polygons) and 6,479 polygons in LOD1 (compared to the original's 6,767 polygons).
*This haistyle is available for females of all ages except for toddlers, because there is no way in hell a toddler has this hairstyle. It makes no sense, and there's also the fact that I never ever use children or toddler versions, and I'm going to be honest and say that I haven't even tested the child version. Anyway, only child-elder females can wear this hairstyle. Sorry*
This hairstyle is compatible with breast and fat sliders. (Let me just say that I fought HARD to get this to be compatible with fat sliders. I don't think you understand. I had to try to reduce this by 4,000 polygons, and even then, I had to make the fat morphs at least 8 times. That means that I made the fat morphs 8 separate times, and had to test them in game 8 times, and 7/8 times the horrible thing EXPLODED. I don't think you understand how horrendously discouraging that is. But I pulled through, for all of you (Because I don't even MAKE fat sims). You can thank me by enjoying this thoroughly (and sending me screenshots because they make me happy).) But the hair clips with the face at maximum fatness. I'm sorry, I can't fix that.

DISCLAIMER: I did not mesh this, but I fixed the atrocities committed by the original mesher. The general shape and idea for this hair goes to butterfly, but the way that this hair fits your sims, the way that this hair animates, and the textures you see are all mine. I am aware of the tremendous amount of work that goes into meshing, but the fact that the work was only halfway done bothers me to no end.

If you enjoy my work, please like my facebook, follow me on tumblr, comment on my post, or subscribe to my blog.

Keep coming on,
Moosie

P.S.(In Aqua): If you have any issues with this hair at all, please let me know so I can fix them. Especially since this thing has been in the works for weeks and I would hate for it to not work for you. And because I never tested the children's version.

Please feel free to use this hairstyle for any preview or machinima needs you may have, but please do not upload anywhere else. The only time it is acceptable for you to reupload this is in a sim bundle, but in that case PLEASE link back to my blog. Please don't retexture this without my permission, although whether I allow you to retexture it depends completely on whether I'm feeling pissy or not that day. Please do not claim my work as your own and please don't steal my textures.

  1. Although I have been using your retextured hairs for a long time, I never post a comment on your blog, I am sorry for that and today I feel the need to comment.
I think the hairs are fabulous and your textures are much more better compared to butterfly's.
I really appreciate that you not only retexture the hairs, you also fix the hairs' problem.
Thanks a lot for retexturing hairs.
Sorry if my English sound awkward as it is not my mother tongue.

PS: just a little suggestion, wouldn't a plain background make the presentation looks better?

  2. I have to agree with the above person: I think plain backgrounds would go along better to see the contrasts of the two hairs.
I also love the fact that you fix these hairs.
    Keep 'em coming. <3

  3. Already use a bunch of your hair retextures (along with those of anubis and elexis).
This one will be added too. I like long hair. And i think the retexture overall is better then what it was first. Those minor things isn't something to complain about it.

  4. Thanks so much for making this and for sharing it with all of us.

I agree with you about toddlers! If a real toddler has an inch or two of hair, they're doing well; it's completely ridiculous to see sim toddlers with long, elaborate hairstyles.

I do make fat sims sometimes, so thanks for all the work you went to -- on a body type you don't even use! -- to make the hair compatible.
